EDUCATION/DISIGNATIONS/LICENSES · ABRM, (Accredited Buyer Representative Manager) from NAR in 1999 · ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation from National Association of Realtors, 1997 · CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation from the National Association of Realtors, 1996 · Ohio Division of Real Estate, Brokers license 1990 · The University of Akron, Associate Degree in Real Estate, 1990 · Ohio Division of Real Estate, Real estate sales license 1984 · Harvey S. Firestone High School 1972 BUSINESS HISTORY I worked as a keypunch operator from the age of 19 and went on to operate a computer for a large paint company in Medina until 1977. I then took a few years off when my children were little. When it was time to go back to work a few short years later, computers had advanced too rapidly for me to re-enter the field. I then got my real estate license since my mother was a practicing agent and broker and she made it look fun and easy. My mother and I started Highland Square Real Estate in 1984 and changed the name to Snyder & Snyder Real Estate in 1991 in order to expand our boundaries. We built our reputation on specializing on the older homes and the restoration of these fine homes. We restored the Queen Anne house at 36 South Maple that is currently our real estate office. I have two web sites at www.barbsnyder.com and www.snyderandsnyder.com. I thoroughly enjoy the technological aspects of my business and the dynamics involved in the real estate and related industries. I have devoted many hours to community service and am dedicated to making Akron a great place to live.
